Welfare first.
If a dog is matted to the point that brushing would cause pain, we shave kindly — never tug. Under the Animal Welfare Act, prolonged dematting is unkind, and we won't do it. Your dog's comfort always leads the decision.
Loolaah's started where most lovely things start — with a deep love of dogs. After years caring for my own, friends' and family's pups, I knew I wanted to do this properly: to make a calm, considered grooming experience that puts the dog first, every single time.
So I trained for my City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma, completed canine first aid, took out full insurance, and opened the doors of a quiet boutique studio on Bay Tree Walk in Wickham.
It's just me, your dog, and the time we need to do a beautiful job.
The salon is light, quiet and spotless — far from the noise of a busy high-street groomer. Hydro-bath, low-noise dryers, breed-appropriate blades and gentle, dog-safe shampoos are all here. So is a basket of tennis balls and a jar of treats, because manners matter.
Because we work by appointment only, your dog is the only dog in the salon for their slot. No waiting around. No crating. No stress.

Appointment only means no waiting crates, no stacked dryers, no chaos. Your dog has my full attention — which means a calmer dog, a better finish, and a properly inspected coat, skin, ears and nails.
Prices reflect breed, coat condition and behaviour — and we'll always be upfront. You'll get a friendly quote on arrival, and no surprises at pickup.
Dog grooming is a skill — and one I take very seriously. Beyond formal qualifications, I attend regular CPD workshops, learn from senior groomers, and stay up to date on breed standards, coat science and welfare best practice.
I'd love to meet you and your dog. Get in touch and we'll find a time that works.
